About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Capital Markets expertise to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial products, trading systems, and regulatory requirements, combined with strong technical skills in SQL and DBMS. This role involves working closely with stakeholders, gathering requirements, and ensuring successful delivery of technology and business solutions within the Capital Markets domain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to gather and document requirements.
  • Analyze and translate business needs into functional specifications for system enhancements and new implementations.
  • Work on projects related to trading platforms, risk management systems, and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform data analysis using SQL and database management tools to validate requirements and support decision-making.
  • Support testing activities by creating test cases, validating results, and ensuring quality deliverables.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations with stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Assist in project planning, status reporting, and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience


• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Capital Markets or Investment Banking.


• Strong knowledge of financial instruments (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, FX).


• Hands-on experience with SQL for data extraction and analysis.


• Familiarity with DBMS concepts and ability to work with large datasets.


• Excellent understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and BA best practices.


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Nice-to-Have Skills


• Experience with regulatory reporting (e.g., MiFID, Dodd-Frank).


• Knowledge of trading platforms and risk management systems.


• Exposure to data visualization tools or BI platforms.


• CFA or FRM certification is an asset.
