Job Responsibilities:   

Maintain a professional, visible, and alert security presenceGreet, assist, and direct visitorsProtect clients, buildings, and assetsWork independently and as part of a teamConduct interior and exterior patrols (proactive and reactive)Respond to emergencies and provide assistance as neededDocument and report all security-related eventsInvestigate routine incidentsPerform patient watchesEnforce parking, smoking, and hospital policiesManage access control and keysComplete monthly safety inspectionsPerform additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Valid Ontario Security Guard LicenseValid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit TestProof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, Pertussis and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)Steps to get your immunization records:
 
Immunization Form:KHSC Immunization Forms Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella and Pertussis are required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR-V immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position.Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)Minimum 6 months of healthcare security experience preferredMinimum 6 months of non-healthcare security experience preferredAbility to commit to full-time availability for at least 6 monthsEnglish proficiency (oral and written) requiredBilingualism (English/French) an asset6+ months of customer service experience an asset Must be able to provide certifications in Stay Safe Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's Stay Safe certification program prior to their onboarding certification to ensure they meet the requirements of the position Please be aware: The Stay Safe certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all the costs of the certification with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability

Standard First Aid, CPR Level C

Valid Ontario Security License
