Sales Associate – Full Time

Calgary, AB | Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (flexibility required; occasional weekends)

The Furniture Shop (TFS) is part of AMJ Calgary, a division of one of Canada's largest coast-to-coast transportation and logistics providers. With over 75 divisions across more than 40 Canadian locations, AMJ is committed to delivering exceptional, personalized service to every customer. We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused individual to join our TFS retail team as a Sales Associate. In this role, you'll help customers select furniture, provide product information, and support day-to-day store operations in a fast-moving retail environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Greet customers and provide knowledgeable, attentive service
  • Assist customers in selecting furniture, décor, and related products
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom
  • Process sales transactions and support basic POS functions
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff regarding product availability, pickups, and deliveries
  • Help with light staging, merchandising, and floor resets
  • Support occasional weekend events or promotions as required
  • Assist with general store or warehouse tasks as needed

What You Bring:

  • Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Comfort working in a retail environment, including standing/walking for extended periods
  • Ability to lift moderately heavy items when assisting with staging or customer pickups
  • Previous retail or furniture sales experience considered an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and basic POS systems an advantage
  • Flexibility to support weekend work when needed
