CNC Machining of aluminum and steel casting weldments, prototype work, mould and dies. NOTE: this is not production work, ROVA Machine is a custom machining service for the tool and die industry. The CNC machining process involves high accuracy and knowledge of the setup requirement of each job including the calculation of work required on each piece.The individual in this position requires extensive knowledge and capabilities in mathematics, reading blue prints, tooling, CNC skills, CNC control knowledge and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blue prints, charts and tables. Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances. Complete inspection reports, verifying dimensions of parts machined for accuracy and conformance using precise measuring instruments e.g. micrometers, calipers, verniers. Ability to meet tight deadlines, attention to detail and able to stand for extended periods. Minimum 2 years of experience operating a CNC machine. Willing and able to work flexible shifts and changing work schedules. Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplications, division, geometry.

Study and interpret drawings, blueprints, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerance of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, tools to be used and setup requirements. Verification of dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring instruments. Fit and assemble machine components and parts to industry standards. Ensure work piece dimensions are correct and to established tolerance criteria. Measure, examine completed parts identifying defects and ensuring conformance to specifications and blueprints.Set up and program as necessary CNC machinery. Measure and mark dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces as guide for subsequent machining. Detect equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjust machine with capabilities, controls or control media as required to insure quality of production. Report all machine malfunctions to immediate supervisor. Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment. Compute dimensions and tolerance and measure and lay out work pieces. Set up operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) tools to perform precise non-repetitive machining operations such as sawing, turning, milling, boring, drilling, precision grinding and other operations. Fit and assemble machined metal parts and sub assemblies using hand and power tools. Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.Willing and able to work flexible shifts and changing work schedules. Strong work ethic and positive team attitude with the ability to work independently with little supervision

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$29.00 per hour
