Assistant shop manager
This role is a support role for the shop manager. The duties and tasks assigned to this assistant may increase at the direction of the shop manager and with experience. The biggest asset to this role is someone who really loves people, and is passionate about helping create a positive work environment and able to assist in the day to day admin tasks of management.
Hours: Should be able to complete duties during shift, hourly duties supported intermittently at the direction of shop manager
Estimated Time: (1-2hr/week)
Pay: commission increase and hourly at the discretion of shop manager (1% commission and $20/hour)
Job description (subject to change)
- Is in regular communication with the shop manager
- Helps orient and welcome new staff
- Welcomes shadows and participates in their experience
- Monitors accuracy of inventory, retail and backbar (requests increase in minimums and notifies management of excess)
- Helps monitor or create ongoing duty list, weekly chore list, and general cleaning and repairs. Notice something isn't done & could/should be? Talk to your manager
- Helps facilitate Staff meetings & team buildings events and moments (birthdays and acknowledgements)
- Is part of general team mentoring, welcoming new staff and shadows, and helping ensure adequate communication to the team generally of the "things that matter"
- Assists in submission of back bar order
- Is part of 3mo, 6mo and 1yr check ins with experience
- May be invited to interviews for the sake of training.
- On call for Stylist & Shop SOS when shop manager is away
- May assist with more manager duties when manager is away
Qualifications
Scheduled for 20+ hrs is preferred
A history of following RH procedures & policies
Exhibits & can demonstrate leadership potential
Believes in our core values and mission
Has participated in ongoing education attendance opportunities
