Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete work, including finishing, forming, and restoration. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate various tools and equipment safely and efficiently. The Concrete Finisher will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards on all job sites.
Duties
- Perform concrete finishing tasks including smoothing, leveling, and texturing surfaces.
- Install rebar and perform concrete forming as per project specifications.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various construction tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute projects accurately.
- Carry out masonry work as needed, including bricklaying and stone setting.
- Assist in renovation projects by applying restoration techniques to existing structures.
- Operate heavy equipment safely when required for moving materials or assisting in large-scale projects.
- Conduct flooring installations as part of overall project completion.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing heavy lifting and other physically demanding tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to the highest standards.
Experience
Candidates should possess a solid foundation in construction with specific experience in the following areas:
- Concrete finishing techniques and practices.
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment operation.
- Proficiency in carpentry, caulking, and masonry work.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting protocols and safety measures.
- Experience with renovation projects involving concrete restoration is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively is essential.
- Experience running skidsteer and excavator would be considered an asset.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 2 months
Pay: $19.72-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 44 per week
