Construction Service Finish Technician

**Job Summary**
**Duties & Responsibilities**
Perform advanced carpentry and finish skills, including drywall install and/or repair, painting, flooring, rough and finish carpentry (framing & trim work/millwork), caulking and ensuring all work meets Sierra Construction Group’s quality standards.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting building blueprints and shop drawings.
- Lead the final stages of construction projects, focusing on detailed finishing tasks to enhance the overall quality and aesthetic of the project.
- Execute a variety of construction tasks, including drywall, painting, flooring, finish carpentry, rough carpentry, caulking.
- Load and unload supplies, materials, tooling, equipment, and machinery on the jobsite.
- Set up, tear down, and clean up the site; organize the jobsite and properly dispose of debris.
- Assist site leaders with various construction tasks, including preparation of the work area, posting signage, fitting safety barriers, and installing protective covers.
- Operate various hand tools and other equipment necessary for the job.
- Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with company standards and client expectations.
- Utilize software to document deficiencies, schedule, and ensure compliance and completion of subtrades scopes and enforce quality.
- Maintain safety standards at all times, reporting any issues with unsafe conditions or equipment.
- Ensure the work area is safe and secure, and all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Respond to post-construction service calls with efficiency and expertise, performing repairs and adjustments across various trades to maintain client satisfaction.
- Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and team members to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.
- Engage with clients professionally, understanding their needs, addressing their concerns, and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
**Qualifications**
- 5 years of experience in carpentry & General Contracting related tasks.
- Broad general contracting experience, with skills in drywall, painting, flooring, rough and finish carpentry (framing & trim work/millwork), caulking.
- Related construction labor experience (including landscaping, concrete, or similar) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in using various hand tools and equipment related to construction.
- Physically able to lift and move a variety of construction materials on a repetitive basis.
- Safety-conscious with keen attention to detail and constant awareness of work surroundings.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and reliability are essential.
- Ability to work productively and cohesively in an independent setting, and in a team-oriented environment.
- A motivated learner with an interest in all facets of the trade; opportunities for growth are available.
- Excellent communication skills; able to work with colleagues, supervisors, sub-trades, and customers.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable mode of transportation to get to and from each site are required.
Pay: $32.54-$39.42 per hour
Expected hours: 44 per week
