About us:

Rolling Mix Concrete is a leading provider of construction materials and services, committed to delivering the highest quality concrete products to our clients. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Concrete Quality Control Field Tester to join our team and ensure our products meet all required specifications and industry standards.

About the role:

The Concrete Quality Control Field Technician is responsible for performing field and lab tests on freshly mixed and hardened concrete in accordance with CSA A23.1 standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining quality assurance and providing data that supports production and placement decisions on job sites.

Responsibilities:

· Perform on-site concrete testing including slump, temperature, air content, and unit weight.

· Adjusting concrete loads on-site, such as incorporating admixtures and conducting retests

· Prepare and transport concrete cylinders to lab for compressive strength testing.

· Document and report test results accurately and timely using digital and written logs.

· Demonstrated capability to perform effectively under pressure

· Ensure testing procedures follow applicable CSA A23.1I standards and project specifications.

· Communicate with production and site personnel regarding test results and potential issues.

· Maintain and calibrate testing equipment regularly.

· Travel to various job sites as needed (mileage reimbursement provided, if applicable).

· Comply with all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.

` Strong time management skills

Candidate requirements:

· High School Diploma or equivalent required.

· Field Testing Technician Grade I Certification (Required but will train the right individual).

· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

· Previous experience in construction materials testing preferred.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

· Proficiency with mobile apps and basic computer skills for report entry

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
