Notre Dame Animal Hospital is looking for a compassionate and dependable Veterinary Assistant to join our supportive, patient-focused team. Whether you have prior experience or are just starting out in veterinary care, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow in a clinic that truly values kindness, collaboration, and quality care.

About Us:

Notre Dame Animal Hospital is an independently owned general practice in Sudbury. We offer a full range of services including wellness exams, vaccinations, dentistry, and soft tissue surgeries (we do not perform orthopedic procedures).

We aim to make every visit a positive, low-stress experience for pets and their people—and we support each other every step of the way.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist the veterinarian and technician during exams and procedures
  • Safely and confidently handle and restrain dogs and cats
  • Keep exam rooms clean, organized, and well-stocked
  • Help with front desk tasks like answering phones and booking appointments
  • Maintain accurate patient records and support daily clinic operations

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in animal care or a veterinary clinic is an asset (but not required)
  • Friendly, reliable, and clear communicator
  • Able to multitask and stay calm in a busy environment
  • Comfortable working directly with animals of all sizes and temperaments
  • A true team player who's always willing to lend a hand

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM)
  • Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (required every other weekend)
