Position Summary:

We are building a list of potential supply teachers for JK to Grade 8 classes. Classes have 4 to 15 students in a classroom.

About Wellington Hall Academy:

Wellington Hall Academy is a small, progressive independent school in Guelph, offering JK to grade 8. We maintain a low student-to-teacher ratio so teachers are able to provide the attention that students need to truly learn and believe in themselves. We encourage good behaviour, student responsibility, and engagement and offer high-quality arts, French from kindergarten, and ample physical education and outdoor time. We maintain a strong, collegial, involved, and positive core of teachers.

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Qualifications to teach kindergarten, primary, or junior students (OCT not necessarily required if you have training and experience)
  • Good classroom management skills in a blended-grade classroom
  • Strong communication skills to best collaborate in a team environment
  • Enthusiastic, productive, and positive nature
  • Ability to interact with students, parents, and teachers cheerfully, enthusiastically, courteously, patiently, and with discretion
  • A proactive team player who is flexible and self-motivated, with a "how can I help?" attitude
