Window Installer

Whitehouse Windows & Doors specialize in custom home and multi-family window and door installations.

We are seeking Window Installers & Skilled Labourers to join our team. You will participate in a variety of projects throughout the Kelowna area and follow construction plans and instructions as required. This is a full time permanent position.

To be successful in this position, you must be hard-working, reliable, and be able to perform physical tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Installation of commercial windows and doors including installation of sealed units and various glass applications
  • Operate site equipment such as various lifts, hand and power tools
  • Loading/Unloading of materials, tools, and equipment
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Other general laborer duties as required

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 years experience in construction
  • Must have Fall Protection certification
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects
  • Must own proper PPE
  • Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
  • Have a strong work ethic and an ability to work in a team setting
  • Lift certification and First Aid are considered an asset
  • Journeymen Carpenter is considered an asset

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Outdoors in all temperatures, working at heights, safety sensitive work sites.
  • Physically demanding: standing, bending, kneeling.
  • Work site: Construction which requires full PPE (hard hats, CSA steel toed boots, safety glasses/goggles, high viz).

TEAM WORK

Each individual must have the ability to adapt and support the needs of the dynamic working environment in the field. Each employee is a member of a single team with a unified strategy working towards the same goal.

COMPENSATION

  • $ $29.00 per hour based on experience
