Workly Law is looking for a junior law clerk to support our employment litigation practice. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and have a positive attitude towards learning. Under the mentorship and supervision of our experienced law clerks, you will be responsible for assisting with the practice of 1-3 litigation lawyers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and file pleadings and court forms in line with the Rules of Civil Procedure
  • Correspond professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff
  • Answer client intake calls and schedule consultations with lawyers
  • Open and close files and organize documentation in accordance with firm procedures
  • Coordinate litigation scheduling, including client meetings, mediations, and examinations for discovery
  • Diarize court dates, limitation periods, and other critical deadlines
  • Follow up with clients regarding file progress, billing, and Accounts Receivable
  • Support client needs, answering questions with accuracy and patience

Qualifications:

  • Team-oriented
  • Proactive and can wear many hats in a small firm setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Google Drive, Google Docs, Gmail), Microsoft Office, and Adobe
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Client-focused with a professional and calm demeanor
  • Eagerness to learn litigation processes and court procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
