Senior Accountant, Consolidations - Ottawa (Hybrid)
Salary - $70,000 - $85,000

A global renewable energy company is hiring a Senior Accountant to support quarterly consolidations, financial reporting, and intercompany accounting across a large, multi-entity structure. This role partners closely with portfolio finance teams and senior leaders, and contributes to acquisition integration and process improvements within the corporate close cycle.

What you bring:

  • CPA or CFE passed with strong technical accounting skills
  • 3-5 years in public accounting (Big 4 or mid-tier ideal)
  • Hands-on IFRS experience, including disclosures and consolidation work
  • Advanced Excel and strong systems mindset (OneStream exposure is an asset)
  • Experience with intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and multi-entity reporting
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with tight close deadlines

What you'll do:
- Prepare consolidated quarterly results for corporate reporting
- Coordinate monthly intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries
- Build supporting schedules for financial statement disclosures and management reporting
- Review reporting packages from portfolio companies and provide timely feedback
- Maintain SOX documentation at the corporate level and support control testing
- Assist with external audit requests and documentation
- Support integration of new assets and acquisitions into the consolidation framework
- Identify and implement improvements to streamline close processes and workflows

Hybrid role:
4 days onsite in Ottawa
