Position Title:

Senior Financial Analyst – Supply Chain

Reports To:

Manager, Supply Chain Finance

Location:

Markham, Ontario - Hybrid

POSITION SUMMARY

Ensure proper accounting and internal control adherence relating to Contract Manufacturing and activity across the Supply Chain network. This role also plays a critical part in supporting operational and strategic decision-making through timely and accurate financial analysis, planning, and forecasting.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS SUMMARY 

• Prepare journal entries as a part of month end close
• Reconcile applicable Balance Sheet accounts
• Prepare reports and supporting analysis to aid in management decisions
• Work with internal auditors and compliance group to maintain and document monthly controls
• Partner with the Contract Manufacturing Team to provide system and process expertise
• Assist with Inventory Reconciliations
• Assist with Annual Financial Plan and Monthly Reforecast for Contract Manufacturing locations
• Partner with the Supply Chain Finance Team to provide value-added analysis for reporting results and transactions
• Identify areas of improvements and standardization
• This position includes periodic travel to the U.S. headquarters, typically twice per year, with each visit lasting 2–3 days.

QUALIFICATIONS  

• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required
• An MBA is a plus
• 1-3 years of Financial Analyst experience
• Experience in Tier 1 Packaged Goods company in food industry would be an asset
• Strong business acumen & judgement
• Sound presentation and communication skills are required in a cross-functional and team-oriented environment
• Must be a self-starter
• Must be a strong team player and be able to build relationships across the organization
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to 'translate' financial language effectively to all levels within the organization
• Should be adaptable, flexible and agile to an ever-changing work environment
• Able to work independently with minimal direction, but also be able to ask for direction when needed
• Knowledge of current computer technologies (MS Office/ Oracle / Spotfire Analytics)
