Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Food Preparation Worker to join our team in a dynamic food service environment. This role involves assisting with meal preparation, food handling, and ensuring the efficient operation of the kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, attention to safety standards, and experience in food industry settings. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable restaurant experience.

Duties

  • Assist in preparing ingredients and assembling dishes according to established recipes and standards
  • Handle food safely, adhering to proper sanitation and hygiene practices
  • Support cooking processes by assisting chefs and kitchen staff during meal preparation
  • Serve food to customers or assist in serving areas as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
  • Follow food safety protocols to ensure quality and safety of all food items
  • Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs
  • Support overall kitchen operations to ensure timely and efficient meal service

Skills

  • Experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food industry setting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently while maintaining quality standards
  • Good understanding of food service operations and customer service principles
  • Kitchen experience including familiarity with basic cooking techniques is advantageous
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude toward collaborative work environments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.05 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 35 per week
