Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensuring that all dishes meet our quality standards and are served efficiently. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about the food industry, with a focus on meal preparation and food safety. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but we welcome applicants eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Assist in preparing ingredients for cooking, including chopping, slicing, and measuring
  • Support the cooking team by assembling dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station to ensure food safety and hygiene
  • Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination
  • Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of low supplies
  • Ensure all food is stored correctly and labeled appropriately
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and sanitation standards at all times

Experience

  • Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety practices
  • Familiarity with the food industry standards for hygiene and quality control
  • Experience with meal preparation and food handling within a fast-paced setting is a plus
  • Strong teamwork skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering excellent food service are essential for success in this role

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.85-$23.41 per hour
