We are looking for a Full-time Ice Cream Scooper to join our Ice Cream team in Calgary, AB at the South Calgary Farmers' Market. If you're a hardworking individual who is looking for a fun customer service focused position selling ice cream, then apply to be a part of our team

The Role

The Ice Cream Scooper position is a valuable part of the Ice Cream team, which is responsible for providing Calgarians with a Scoop of Joy and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are met. The scooper is responsible for opening and closing the booth, cash handling, providing excellent customer service, product knowledge and selling retail products. This position reports to the Marketing Manager and will be required to work an 8-hour shift Thursday-Sunday between the hours 9:00AM - 5:00PM MST.

What You'll Do:

· Scooping and serving Ice Cream

· Selling retail products

· Educating customers on Foothills Creamery and our products

· Make milkshakes, floats, waffle cones and other sweet treats as directed

· Communicating inventory levels for products and supplies required

· Ordering product for the booth on a weekly basis

· Managing payments for both cash and electronic sales

· Approving timecards for casual scooper position

· Picking up additional supplies for the market from Wholesale Club and the Sales Office weekly

· Providing exceptional customer service by living our motto - A Scoop of Joy

What You'll Need:

We require an applicant that has previous customer service experience and can work well with others. Applicants must be willing to work weekdays and weekends. Additional requisites are as follows:

· Able to regularly lift up to 25kg

· Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred

· Previous food handling is preferred

· Math skills are essential

· Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and extended periods of standing

What You'll Bring

· Good verbal and written skills for communicating effectively with others

· Ability to communicate with customers of all ages and diversities

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Schedule:

· 8-hour shift

· Day shift

· Thursday-Sunday (32 hours)

· 2 additional hours per week for required tasks outside of the market

· Total 34 hours per week
