Primary Purpose: As our firm continues to grow, we are seeking a senior accountant to join our team. This position provides an exciting opportunity with lots of room for advancement especially into a management position or a partnership opportunity for the right individual.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial statement preparation for compilations, review engagements and audits
  • Preparation of corporate and personal income tax returns
  • Various other accounting and taxation engagements such as cash-flow projections, rollovers and reorganizations, trust returns, software training, etc. would be available depending on the candidate's interests and capabilities

Skills, knowledge & work experience:

  • CPA designation
  • Minimum of three years of experience in public practice
  • Passion for accounting with great attention to detail
  • Problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong project and time management abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Great client service skills
  • Experience in CaseWare and Profile is considered an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Remuneration: Salary will be based on the candidate's experience. General training will be provided.
