MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN – TEAM LEAD / Sport & event complex

Location: Campbellton Memorial Regional Civic Centre – Sports & Events Complex

Status: Permanent, full-time

Salary: Up to $33/hour

Benefits: Defined Benefit Pension Plan providing long-term financial security, group insurance, paid leave and vacation.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional irregular hours (evenings and weekends)

YOUR ROLE

You are a key member of the maintenance team ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of the facility's operations.

In addition to carrying out specialized electrical work and diverse building-mechanical tasks, you act as a team lead for the maintenance staff. You coordinate daily task assignments, provide technical guidance, and ensure quality and safe practices under the supervision of the Building Maintenance Manager.

You will also maintain critical systems such as:

  • Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC)
  • Refrigeration and ice-making equipment
  • Compressors, motors, and building automation systems

You will further contribute to procurement activities, inventory management, and preparation of the facilities for major events.

Requirements
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Valid journeyperson certification as an industrial or construction electrician in New Brunswick (Red Seal preferred).
  • At least 5 years of journeyperson experience, including team leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong building systems aptitude and practical knowledge and general building maintenance.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and maintain complex systems (HVAC, compressors, boilers, automation).
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
  • Bilingualism (French and English, spoken and written).
  • Computer software literacy .
  • Flexibility for variable hours
