Mega Rebar, a rebar fabricator and distributor situated in Maple Ridge, BC, is actively seeking a motivated and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Foreman. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity that offers competitive compensation and benefits. Our brand-new facility is equipped with top-of-the-line equipment.

Core Duties:

• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on time and to company standards
• Lead and motivate employees to maintain productivity and efficiency
• Communicate effectively with team members about daily tasks, schedules, safety, etc.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and project specifications – Ensuring proper handling, cutting, and bending of rebar is in compliance with the information provided.
• Track and maintain detailed records of site activities, labour hours and material usage
• Conduct daily quality control checks
• Review and approve timesheets and ensure accuracy of daily reports
• Lead and organize toolbox talks and daily huddles

Work Conditions:

• Work in a covered environment
• The daily use of personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, steel-toe work boots, gloves, helmets, and hearing protection, will be required.
• Highly repetitive tasks.
• Heavy lifting required.
• Overtime hours may be required to meet operational demands.
• Must be flexible to work early mornings and late evenings.
• Must be familiar with and adhere to shop safety policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in a supervisory position within the rebar industry
• Hands on experience with overhead crane, shearline and bender in a fabrication setting
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to lift, bend, twist and maneuver without physical restrictions.

Assets:

• Machine maintenance knowledge – Shearline, Barwiser, RMS Bender, Coil, etc.

Experience:

• Rebar Fabrication: 3-5 years.
