Rebar Foreman

Mega Rebar, a rebar fabricator and distributor situated in Maple Ridge, BC, is actively seeking a motivated and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Foreman. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity that offers competitive compensation and benefits. Our brand-new facility is equipped with top-of-the-line equipment.

**Core Duties**:

- Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on time and to company standards
- Lead and motivate employees to maintain productivity and efficiency
- Communicate effectively with team members about daily tasks, schedules, safety, etc.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and project specifications - Ensuring proper handling, cutting, and bending of rebar is in compliance with the information provided.
- Track and maintain detailed records of site activities, labour hours and material usage
- Conduct daily quality control checks
- Review and approve timesheets and ensure accuracy of daily reports
- Lead and organize toolbox talks and daily huddles

**Work Conditions**:

- Work in a covered environment
- The daily use of personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, steel-toe work boots, gloves, helmets, and hearing protection, will be required.
- Highly repetitive tasks.
- Heavy lifting required.
- Overtime hours may be required to meet operational demands.
- Must be flexible to work early mornings and late evenings.
- Must be familiar with and adhere to shop safety policies and procedures.

**Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements**:

- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a supervisory position within the rebar industry
- Hands on experience with overhead crane, shearline and bender in a fabrication setting
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lift, bend, twist and maneuver without physical restrictions.

**Assets**:

- Machine maintenance knowledge - Shearline, Barwiser, RMS Bender, Coil, etc.

**Experience**:

- Rebar Fabrication: 3-5 years.
