Job Overview
Muskoka Montessori School is seeking a dependable, enthusiastic individual to join our team in a full-time classroom support role. Responsibilities
- Support daily routines in an elementary classroom
- Provide warm, steady guidance and redirection to children
- Assist the teacher with materials preparation and organization
- Maintain a clean, orderly learning environment
- Help facilitate individual or small-group activities
- Supervise recess and transition times
- Contribute to a positive, respectful school culture
- Occasionally lead morning outdoor fitness session
- Participate in weekly outdoor education programming
Experience
- Undergraduate degree (any discipline)
- Experience working with children (school, camp, tutoring, coaching, or childcare)
- Strong competency in English and math
- Organized, adaptable, and confident with groups of children
- Open to Montessori philosophy; training opportunities may be available
- Reliable, professional, and comfortable in a dynamic school environment
