Position Title: After School Program Early Childhood Educator

Location: Spruce Glen Public School-Huntsville

Terms of Employment:

Status: Temporary, Part-Time (to cover a maternity leave)

Start Date: December 1, 2025 to January 29, 2027

Hours: Monday to Friday, up to 3 hour per day and/or up to 15 hours per week, hours of work are between 3:00pm -6:00pm, contingent upon enrollment (with the exception of TLDSB school holidays, PA Days and Breaks, following the TLDSB school year calendar each year).

Actual hours of work may be subject to slight variation

Rate of Pay: currently$ per hour plus 4% vacation pay +$2.00 WEG

Requirements:

· Early Childhood Education Diploma or other related diploma considered for director approval.(Social Service Worker, Child and Youth Care Worker, TeacherOTC etc)

· Registered Early Childhood Educator in Good Standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.

· Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.

· A commitment to the childcare field with a philosophy that is conducive to that of Muskoka Family Focus and Children's Place.

· Knowledge and understanding of the How Does Learning Happen? document and the Assurance for Quality Improvement Program.

· Experience working with children and their parents in a school age environment.

· Knowledge of family dynamics and child development.

· Able to meet the physical demands of daily program set up and take down.

· Good attendance record.

· Worker Health and Safety Awareness Proof of Completion Certificate.

· WHIMS 2015 Training Certificate.

· Violence and Harassment in the Workplace Training Certificate.

· Current Standard First Aid and Infant/Child C.P.R. Certificate.

· Completion of the Food Handlers Course would be an asset.

· Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screen and Medical Assessment, including current immunizations required by SMDHU, on hiring and as required by Muskoka Family Focus and Children's Place policies.

Pay: $28.24-$30.91 per hour
