Why should you apply to be a Support Worker with Support Services Group Cooperative?

Here are our Top 5 Reasons

5) A Unique Cooperative Model

SSG is unique in Nova Scotia, founded as a cooperative of families working together to secure the supports their loved ones need to live independent, successful lives in the community. The people we support are members of the co-op and have real decision-making power in their own lives.

4) Member-Chosen Living

We do not operate small options or group homes. Our members live in apartments they (and their families) have chosen. This allows us to tailor each care plan to the member's own needs, preferences, and abilities, ensuring the exact level of support required to foster independence and choice.

3) A Compassionate and Skilled Team

Joining SSG means working with a caring, talented team dedicated to teamwork and enriching the lives of our members. You will grow not only as a support worker, but as a person.

2) Internal Advancement Opportunities

Our management positions are filled from within. We consistently support and recognize employees who show dedication and interest in taking on new challenges and leadership roles.
