We are partnering with a growing organization to hire a
Director, Financial Planning & Analysis
. In this role, you will lead enterprise-wide financial planning, operational reporting, and performance management, while strengthening the overall rigor and structure of the planning function.
This opportunity is well suited for a hands-on finance leader who can operate in fast-moving environments, bring discipline to complex data, and provide clear, forward-looking insights to senior leadership. You will partner closely with functional leaders to align financial plans with operational priorities and ensure decision-makers have timely, high-quality information.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of annual budgets, long-range plans, and recurring forecasts across the organization.
- Design and maintain driver-based forecasting and scenario models to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Oversee the preparation of executive dashboards, management reports, and Board-ready materials that clearly explain performance trends and outcomes.
- Partner with functional leaders to manage corporate budgets, resource planning, and spending alignment.
- Lead monthly performance reviews focused on variances, risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations.
- Establish consistent financial governance by improving data quality, standardizing reporting, and enhancing forecast accuracy.
- Support strategic initiatives and investment decisions through financial modeling, business cases, and ROI analysis, including M&A-related work when required.
- Improve planning and reporting processes through automation and more efficient data workflows.
- Develop and monitor KPIs and performance scorecards that drive accountability across business units.
- Serve as a trusted finance partner to operational and corporate leaders, supporting prioritization and resource allocation.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of FP&A analysts with a focus on accuracy, insight, and storytelling.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic finance roles.
- Demonstrated experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles in complex environments.
- Strong background preparing financial insights for senior executives and Board-level audiences.
- Proven ability to translate detailed financial analysis into clear operational and strategic recommendations.
- Advanced expertise in financial modeling, variance analysis, scenario planning, and KPI development.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial planning systems or BI tools such as Power BI is preferred.
- Strong business partnership skills, with experience working across operations, marketing, HR, and strategy.
- Experience building, scaling, and mentoring finance teams and processes.
- Comfort operating in dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving organizations.
- High attention to detail with a disciplined approach to data integrity and consistency.
- Strong communication and presentation skills suited for executive audiences.
