About The Role
The
Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis
will play a key part in evolving CAAT Pension Plan's financial planning & analysis capabilities and supporting departments across the organization in making informed business decisions. The Senior Manager will support the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis with the growth and development of the financial planning & analysis team within the finance department.
As The Newest Member Of Our Team, You Will
- Lead and support the SVP, Technology and IT services with their annual budgeting process, collaborating across teams to ensure alignment with strategic plans and timelines.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for IT budget development, reviewing departmental requests for strategic fit.
- Lead quarterly review meetings with IT teams to discuss budget performance, identify risks and opportunities, and enhance forecasting accuracy.
- Develop and oversee project cost control processes, advise on project cost governance, and evaluate the long-term financial impact of initiatives across CAAT.
- Build, review, and maintain forecasting models, collaborating with stakeholders to analyze financial and non-financial data for accurate projections.
- Support the monthly processes including the cost allocation process in SAP S4Hana and the analysis of results to understand how allocated costs compare to budget.
- Partner with the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis to shape and execute the long-term strategy for the FP&A function at CAAT.
- Provide strategic financial analysis and support to senior leaders, ensuring budget requests align with organizational goals.
- Continuously improve FP&A processes by implementing best practices and driving operational efficiency as the organization grows.
To Succeed, You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis roles or roles with similar/transferrable experience.
- CPA designation is required, or an advanced degree or certification that focuses on data analytics and/or data science (i.e., Master's degree, continuing education program, CFA etc.).
- Bachelor's degree, major in accounting/finance or equivalent.
- Strong financial analysis and modeling skills, with experience creating complex financial projections and budgets.
- Excellent business partnering and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and concise manner including senior leadership teams and internal operations committees.
- Experience with SAP S4Hana and/or implementing an FP&A tool is an asset but not required.
