About Move Me Foundation
Move Me Foundation is a volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to advancing mental health and emotional well-being through community-informed research. We focus on practical, systems-level work designed to create sustainable, meaningful change in how communities support mental health.
Our current project, Redesigning Schools for Emotional Safety and Well-being, examines how school environments can be structured to inherently support student mental health and emotional well-being through intentional design and systems integration.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced research professional to lead our volunteer research team. As Senior Research Coordinator, you'll oversee the day-to-day work of our research staff—including Research Coordinators, Research Assistants, and Peer Reviewers—and ensure our projects stay on track.
You'll manage daily research operations and team coordination, working closely with Research Directors on strategic direction.
What You'll Do:
- Lead weekly team meetings and coordinate research activities
- Assign tasks and provide guidance to research team members
- Monitor project progress and keep work moving forward
- Review research outputs for quality and consistency
- Make routine decisions about methodology and project execution
- Update Research Directors on progress and escalate issues when needed
- Foster a supportive, collaborative team environment
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 10+ years of research experience (academic, nonprofit, policy, or community settings)
- Experience managing or coordinating research teams
- Strong understanding of research methods and design
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound judgments
- Reliable and able to commit 8-10 hours weekly
Preferred:
- Background in education, youth mental health, or related areas
- Experience in nonprofit or volunteer environments
- Advanced degree in a relevant field
