Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in meal preparation by chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces.
  • Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
  • Ensure proper food handling and storage practices to comply with food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
  • Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
  • Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning duties at the end of shifts.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
  • Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food handling practices is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is a plus.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with other staff members.
