is expanding our People team, and we're looking for a People & Talent Specialist to support our growing organization with a blend of talent acquisition, people operations, and culture-building responsibility. You'll work closely with our HR Manager to deliver a thoughtful, inclusive employee experience while taking the lead on recruitment during active hiring periods, especially for technical roles in engineering, product, and data. You will also own 's co-op hiring program, support HR operations for both Canadian and US employees, and help drive team events and office management.

What You'll Do
- Talent Acquisition
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for technical and non-technical roles across
- Partner with hiring managers on role definition, interview planning, and hiring timelines
- Write and post job descriptions; source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and outbound outreach
- Conduct screening calls and maintain a structured, positive candidate experience
- Coordinate interviews and manage candidate pipelines in Greenhouse (ATS)
- Support offer preparation, negotiation, and closing
- Contribute to employer branding initiatives including career page updates, social content, recruiting events, and partnerships
- Own 's co-op hiring program
- HR Operations & People Support
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes for Canada and the US, including documentation, systems access, and orientation scheduling
- Maintain accurate employee records and assist with HRIS updates
- Support benefits administration, payroll changes, and compliance documentation
- Respond to employee inquiries with professionalism and escalate when needed
- Assist with performance review cycles, engagement programs, and policy updates
- Help improve People team processes to enhance clarity, efficiency, and scalability
- Culture, Events & Office Management
- Organize and support team-wide social events, celebrations, and culture-building activities
- Assist with planning company offsites, lunches, volunteer days, and community initiatives
- Support office management tasks such as supply ordering, mail handling, vendor coordination, and keeping shared spaces organized
- Help maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and well-functioning workplace environment
What You'll Bring
- 2–5 years of experience in HR, People Operations, and/or Talent Acquisition
- Proven ability to source and hire technical talent (software engineering preferred)
- Experience using an ATS (Greenhouse experience is a plus)
- Solid understanding of HR administrative processes and employment basics
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
- Experience planning or supporting team events or workplace culture initiatives
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced SaaS/fintech/AI startup environment
- Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
- Nice to have: experience in fintech/SaaS/AI, experience supporting distributed teams, employer branding or campus recruiting experience, and office management exposure
