The Painter will work closely with project managers and clients to meet specifications and deadlines, contributing to the overall success of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paints, stains, primers, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project requirements
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during preparation and application processes
- Perform rigging tasks as needed for elevated or hard-to-reach areas
- Assist with carpentry tasks related to surface preparation or repair when necessary
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all safety protocols are followed on-site
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project specifications are met
- Manage time efficiently to complete projects within designated schedules
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting, restoration, residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in painting and carpentry tasks
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for surface sealing and finishing touches
- Strong understanding of rigging procedures for working at heights or in complex environments
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Customer service orientation with a professional attitude towards clients and team members
