Team And Job Overview
The Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) group under the leadership of the Chief Information Officer was established in 2023 with the mission of empowering our customers and colleagues to take on the world, by seamlessly delivering secure and reliable digital experiences. Digital & Technology Solutions has set out to achieve the following objectives for EDC:

  • Define, execute, and sustain the integrated technology target state, target data model and technology operations required to enable EDC's 2030 business transformation.
  • Establish and manage the rolling 3 Year Digital Roadmap that sequences the technology outcomes required to achieve the technology target state and facilitate its execution across all domains in the organization.
  • Keep pace with industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring EDC has access to the digital technology tools it needs to stay relevant in the market and grow Canadian global trade.
  • Lead and ensure integrated digital, data, infrastructure, and cybersecurity implementations to create excellent customer, user, and employee experiences.

As EDC aims to be the leader in helping all Canadian exporters go, grow, and succeed internationally, the Digital Platform Delivery & Architecture (DPDA) group in EDC plays a critical role in enabling leaders to leverage technologies by providing an easy-to-use, secure and fit-for-purpose digital business platform.

To better position ourselves for success, the Digital Delivery Salesforce, Sales Enablement, and Automation (SEA) team is seeking a Manager to help implement the strategic technology vision by building effective platforms and delivery processes that support the needs of EDC now and in the future.

In collaboration with the Director, the SEA team Manager will be responsible for the design, development, support, and operations of the SEA team with a focus on the process automation field.

A key focus of this role is to oversee the end-to-end transformation life-cycle, proactively managing risks, blockers, dependencies, scope, budget and contracts. This role is a people management role and proven success in managing a productive, satisfied team is required. Success in this position requires fostering strong alignment between business and technology teams.

Working with the platform owners, the ideal candidate will also leverage their experience to guide the strategic approach to process automation and alignment with the corporate strategy and digital roadmap.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Stay close to the tech by understanding key technologies and approaches in process automation, such as digital workflows within corporate platforms such as ServiceNow and Salesforce, Robotic Process Automation (RPAs), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and integration.
  • Drive delivery across multiple projects: helping the team prioritize, unblock, meet timelines and maintain budgets.
  • Maintain an understanding of UX design familiarity with Figma or similar design tools.
  • Manage vendor contracts, including vendor relationships.
  • Be a champion for process automation technology, working across the business and IT. Provide thought leadership regarding process automation to drive corporate strategic direction.
  • Champion scalable, maintainable, and secure development practices.
  • Maintain an understanding of engineering practices like code reviews, architectural decisions, and CI/CD pipeline health.
  • Be a thought leader in developing EDC's approach to agentic models within the process automation area.
  • Lead, coach, and grow a team of developers, release managers, testers, and support analysts ensuring they feel heard, supported, and challenged.
  • Providing regular feedback for that team, career growth opportunities, and performance reviews that matter.
  • Support career development with structured plans, regular 1:1s, and transparent conversations.
  • Work closely with Product, Design, and Business teams to align on goals, scope, and timelines.
  • Contribute to longer-term strategic planning and tech vision.
  • Help build and manage the SEA team delivery budget (headcount, cloud/tooling, consultants and vendor contracts).

What We Are Looking For

  • Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Business or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years' hands-on experience in the process automation technology field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Delivery Manager role or similar, overseeing technical staff or project teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire diverse, cross-functional teams; including junior and senior staff, by fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance culture aligned with EDC's values.
  • Advanced knowledge of AI and particularly Agentic AI.
  • Knowledge in Integration services.
  • Managed a delivery budget end-to-end (headcount, tooling) for a product team.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual in both official languages (English and French).

What Will Make You Stand Out

  • Hands-on experience creating AI models.
