Job Title: Accountant
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. This position involves preparing monthly journals with relevant supporting working papers, performing monthly SG&A and P&L variance analysis for multiple entities, running various reports from the accounting system to support the team, and preparing balance sheet account reconciliations. Other tasks may be required as needed. This role offers significant growth potential and provides exposure to multi-company financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly journals with relevant supporting working papers.
- Perform monthly SG&A and P&L variance analysis for multiple entities.
- Run various reports from the accounting system to support the team.
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Handle other tasks as required.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of full cycle accounting experience.
- Proficiency in balance sheet, income statement, and variance analysis.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Big 4 experience or experience in mid-size public practice.
- Experience with larger complex companies and multiple entities.
- Educational from SFU, BCIT, or UBC.
Work Environment
The schedule is Monday to Friday, starting at 8am, with a 40-hour work week. This role is hybrid, requiring 3 days in the office in south Burnaby.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burnaby, BC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $ $33.00/hr.
