Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our growing team. This role will manage transportation infrastructure projects such as Class Environmental Assessments, TPAP, and corridor improvement studies. This role will sit within our Mobility Global Business Area. We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today's mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world's growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.

Role accountabilities:

In this role, you will serve as a Project Coordinator on transportation infrastructure projects, including Class Environmental Assessments, TPAP, preliminary designs, and intersection or corridor improvement studies. Your responsibilities will encompass coordinating transportation engineering tasks for large-scale projects, reviewing preliminary and detailed design drawings, and supporting the writing of reports such as Environmental Study Reports and traffic studies. Additionally, you will be involved in proposal writing, managing staff productivity and utilization, mentoring staff and project teams, supervising staff, and directly participating in project completion.

You are expected to foster enthusiasm and a client-focused approach, lead business development activities in the GTHA, and oversee project coordination across various design disciplines, managing both project schedules and budgets. Your role will also involve liaising with clients and participating in the management of the Infrastructure Group at the Toronto West Office. The ideal candidate will work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating strong project management skills, excellent technical, verbal, and written communication abilities, and a high level of motivation and enthusiasm. You should have excellent analytical and decision-making skills, a commitment to excellence and high-quality work, and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's University Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
• 5+ years of Project coordination or Deputy Project Management experience in Transportation Engineering projects.
• P.Eng. (Eligible for Membership with PEO) preferred
• Experience with MTO and GTHA's Municipalities are an asset
• Support Project Manager and Leads on interdisciplinary coordination, client engagement and communication, and meet deadlines and project goals.
• Asist in the end-to-end project delivery
• Experience with preliminary and detailed design of arterial roads, highways and freeways (alignments, geometrics, staging, traffic management, roadside safety)
• Familiarity with OpenRoads and Civil3D is an asset 
• Understanding of traffic engineering principles
• Familiarity with GTHA market conditions, public and private sector client base in and around the GTHA
• Familiar with preparation of reports and Tender documents

The salary range for this position is $78,000 - $117,000. The base salary represents Arcadis' hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
