The Training/Safety Coordinator supports and implements safety and training programs to ensure employees are well-prepared and compliant with safety standards. This role helps maintain a safe work environment, driving engagement, teams are equipped with skills and knowledge to prove G.R.E.A.T customer service and adherence to Kent's Safety Management System.

Safety Training: Develop and implement safety training programs for employees.

Compliance: Ensure all staff adhere to safety protocols, company policies and regulatory standards.

Record-Keeping: Maintain training and safety documentation, and compliance audits including responsibility for minutes of JHSC meetings.

Risk Assessment: Conduct audits, assess hazards, and implement corrective actions.

Training Facilitation: Deliver training sessions using various methods (in-person, e-learning, hands-on etc.).

Collaboration: Work with managers to identify training needs, gaps and communicate opportunities.

Monitoring & Evaluation: Assess training effectiveness and track employee progress.

Expand Knowledge: Continuously expand knowledge of HR and safety to provide store support.

Reinforce Safety Culture: Promote a strong safety culture within the workplace. Investigate incidents, near misses, and hazards to determine root causes and determine corrective action.

Training Completion: Strive for 100% completion of safety and training programs to ensure the store is prepared to deliver G.R.E.A.T customer service and maintain high employee engagement.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Leadership ability without direct authority.

Organized, agile, and capable of handling multiple priorities.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Self-starter with problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
