Job Description:

Supervises room attendants and housepersons to ensure the standard cleanliness in all guest rooms and public areas are followed.

Job Requirements:

  • Generate daily housekeeping room report to determine if additional room attendants will be required to ensure a smooth daily operation or rooms need to be carried over
  • Generate room assignment report to ensure rooms tasks are distributed evenly according to sections and level of expertise
  • Conduct morning briefing on VIP arrivals, achievements, room discrepancies , and daily reminders
  • Perform projects and tasks delegated by the housekeeping manager including ordering of supplies
  • Communicate with the housekeeping leadership team on feedback provided by guests and colleagues
  • Communicate with houseperson to ensure the public area is tidy and room supplies are well-stocked for the housekeepers to start their day
  • Check all linen storages and carts prior to opening brand new linens
  • Provide coaching to room attendants daily on room deficiencies
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor. Be patient, attentive, helpful, courteous, and professional to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.
  • Assign additional tasks to room attendants who have completed their room assignments early
  • Ensure all public areas and guest rooms are cleaned to standard and well-maintained
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation standards
  • Identify and analyze more efficient procedures, including being receptive to feedback provided by colleagues and guests
  • Assist with cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming and making beds
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach to clean and organize various surfaces within the assigned area
  • Endurance to walk and stand for extended periods during a shift
  • Comfort with repetitive motions and tasks involved in cleaning
  • Ability to push, pull, and maneuver cleaning equipment as needed
  • Report any maintenance issues or damage in rooms promptly
  • Inspect room according to hotel standards

Qualifications:

  • A dedicated customer service professional that is committed to the highest quality standards
  • Background in housekeeping with 1 year of experience is required
  • Prompt follow-up on any operational feedback. Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Property Management Software and Microsoft Office is an asset
  • Must be a self-starter with demonstrated leadership ability and team motivation skills
  • Working weekends and holidays is required
  • Physical mobility and stamina required
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to justify decisions
  • Must work well in high stress situations, maintaining composure and objectivity
  • Must be an effective listener, clarifying concerns raised by colleagues and guests

Pay: $23.69-$25.24 per hour
