Do you want to experience the best outdoor lifestyle in Whistler, BC--Canada's premier ski resort town? Pan Pacific Whistler is looking for a year-round Housekeeping Supervisor. We are looking for a dynamic and physically fit individual for this physically demanding role

As Housekeeping Supervisor you will:

  • Ensure a conducive and happy working environment for all Associates
  • Oversee maintenance of plants, gardening and landscaping operations of the hotel, including floral arrangements.
  • Support the Executive Housekeeper in conducting performance appraisals.
  • Ensure the overall health, safety and wellbeing of Associates and guests alike.
  • Respond promptly and confidently to any workplace injury, completion of WSBC forms as necessary.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication with other departments.
  • Lead by example in the use of safe work practices, and injury prevention methods.
  • Conduct opening duties, room inspections and closing duties as required.
  • Work as room attendant and/house person on a as on and when needed basis

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Attention to detail, organizational skills and excellent observational skills.
  • Knowledge of, and ability to use all cleaning equipment.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and public holidays.
  • Knowledge of "Back Safe" techniques, WSBC and WHMIS safety procedures.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in written and spoken English.
  • Physical fitness and dexterity.
  • Friendly and enthusiastic manner, great sense of cooperation and teamwork.
  • Some Supervisory experience would be helpful.

Due to the nature of the business, this position requires flexibility in terms of your work schedule.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $27.23 per hour
