Founded in 2017 with the purchase of the historic Bennett property in West Kelowna, Frind Estate Winery blends traditional agriculture with cutting-edge technology. With over 400 acres of vineyards across 15 thriving sites in the Okanagan Valley—and another 250 acres planned—we are at the forefront of viticultural innovation.
We cultivate excellence across multiple grape varieties, including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Marechal Foch, and Regent, spanning vineyard locations from Osoyoos to Vernon.
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Irrigation Technician to install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems across our vineyards and commercial properties. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and a detail-oriented approach to ensure irrigation systems run efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial irrigation systems
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure proper function and water efficiency
- Diagnose and resolve issues with pumps, valves, controllers, and sprinkler heads
- Program and adjust irrigation controllers for seasonal changes and water conservation
- Perform system startups in spring and winterizations in fall
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and system layouts
- Collaborate closely with department leads and supervisors
- Ensure compliance with water regulations and conservation standards
Skills & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience as an irrigation technician, preferably in commercial or vineyard settings
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, pumps, controllers, and plumbing principles
- Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans and schematics
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in all weather conditions
- Valid Class 5 driver's license in good standing
- Must be eligible to work in Canada

The pay range for this position is $ $36.00 per hour. Placement within this range will be based on qualifications, experience, internal equity, and market alignment.
