Store Manager – Full Time

Calgary, AB | Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (flexibility required; occasional weekends)The Furniture Shop (TFS) is a rapidly growing Canadian furniture reseller and outlet showroom offering high-quality, brand-name furniture at significant discounts, often between 30% and 70% off regular retail pricing.

We source new, open-box, and returned items, giving customers an eco-friendly option to furnish their homes while reducing waste. Our fast turnover of inventory creates a treasure-hunt shopping experience and keeps the showroom fresh with unique, one-of-a-kind pieces.We are looking for a motivated and business-minded leader to oversee our Calgary location. This role is ideal for someone who wants the responsibility of running a business, driving growth, and shaping the customer experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee all daily store operations, including showroom presentation, merchandising, and customer service
  • Lead, coach, and support a small but mighty team
  • Manage the arrival, pricing, and presentation of new, open-box, and returned inventory
  • Maintain showroom standards and ensure products are displayed attractively and accurately
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for product movement, pickups, and deliveries
  • Review sales data and identify opportunities to improve revenue, efficiency, and inventory flow
  • Assist with scheduling, onboarding, and training new team members
  • Execute promotions, sales events, and customer-focused initiatives
  • Ensure the store remains clean, safe, and well-organized

What You Bring:

  • Previous retail or furniture sales experience, preferably with outlet or discount-based inventory
  • Leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to problem-solve and make confident operational decisions
  • Comfort working in a hands-on retail environment, including lifting, staging, and floor resets
  • Strong organizational and merchandising abilities
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and basic POS systems
  • Flexibility to support occasional weekend events or store needs
