Job Overview

Cape Breton Hyundai, a reputable and growing Hyundai dealership, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Office Accounting Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our dealership's daily accounting operations.

Duties

  • Process accounts payable and receivable
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounting files
  • Support the office manager and controller with administrative accounting tasks
  • Ensure compliance with dealership and manufacturer accounting policies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting(required)
  • Previous experience in an accounting or office administrative role preferred (automotive dealership experience a plus)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
