Le St-Patrick is a private seniors' residence located in Upper Town Quebec City, two blocks from the Plains of Abraham. We are looking for someone to fill a part-time day/evening/night caregiver position. Stable hours. Free indoor parking. ***Candidates must hold a DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in Caregiving or a RAC (Recognition of Acquired Competencies) certificate, or have accumulated 5,000 hours of experience in the last 5 years as a Personal Care Attendant + current 16-hour CPR certification + completed PDSP (Personalized Support Plan).***

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Schedule: 4/14 day/evening/night shift with 1 weekend out of 2 (and more)

Salary: based on experience, starting at $19.50 per hour

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Comply with standards and regulations in accordance with the certification of private seniors' residences and employer policies
  • Provide a range of health and hygiene care while respecting the integrity and dignity of residents, in collaboration with the team
  • Respect and promote proactive care among residents
Health Care
  • Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around
  • Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
  • Respond to all emergency situations
  • While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Up-to-date CPR/AED general first aid training
  • PDSP Training
  • AP/RPA or DEP training in assistance to people in establishments and at home
