Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to welcome guests and ensure a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate will excel in guest services, possess excellent communication skills, and have a welcoming demeanor. This role is vital in creating a warm atmosphere and managing reservations efficiently to support our restaurant's operations.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements efficiently
  • Answer phone inquiries with professionalism and provide accurate information about the restaurant
  • Manage reservations and waitlists using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
  • Assist guests with seating, menus, and special requests to enhance their dining experience
  • Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
  • Maintain cleanliness of the host station and ensure the lobby area is welcoming and organized
  • Handle guest concerns or complaints courteously, escalating issues when necessary
  • Support in maintaining high standards of hospitality, including providing information about menu items and specials

Experience

  • Previous experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality preferred
  • Restaurant experience is highly desirable, especially familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS or similar platforms
  • Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and friendliness
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks efficiently
  • Hotel or food service industry experience is a plus but not required
