With expertise spanning the entertainment, lifestyle, food and beverage and hospitality sectors, Touchwood PR works with creators, performers, brands and businesses to amplify their stories to achieve their goals.
About the role:
The Publicity Assistant will support the team in day-to-day tasks across entertainment, arts and lifestyle accounts. This role is ideal for someone who loves media, enjoys creative collaboration, and thrives in a dynamic environment. You will help execute publicity campaigns, track media coverage, manage press materials, and assist with client-facing duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Support team with the execution of entertainment and lifestyle publicity campaigns
- Draft and edit press materials, including media alerts, pitch letters, bios, and press releases
- Maintain media lists, research new contacts, and help identify outreach opportunities
- Monitor, track, and compile press coverage reports
- Assist in coordinating interviews and events
- Support creation and adaptation of social media assets (graphics, templates, short-form visuals) for client campaigns
- Help manage social media content calendars and brand messaging (as needed)
- Coordinate logistics for client events, screenings, product launches, and press opportunities
- Communicate professionally with journalists, content creators, partners, and clients
- Handle administrative duties such as reports, daily coverage clippings and database updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field
- 1–2 years of experience in PR, media, entertainment, or a similar field (internships qualify)
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
- Passion for entertainment, lifestyle media, pop culture, and digital trends
- Basic graphic design capabilities and experience with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar
- Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with PR tools such as Meltwater, or similar platforms (a plus)
- Social media savvy across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, etc.)
- Positive attitude, team-oriented, and eager to learn
- Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends;
- French is an asset.
