Freight North Carriers is actively seeking an experienced Dispatcher to join our operations team. We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual with flat deck dispatch experience and a strong understanding of trucking operations. Heavy haul knowledge is highly valued, and the successful candidate will work collaboratively with our dispatch and maintenance teams to ensure efficient, compliant, and customer-focused operations.
This is a full-time position, with salary to be discussed with the hiring manager during the interview and based on experience.
Job Description
- Coordinate, plan, and schedule routes and tasks for trucks, trailers, and drivers
- Manage fleet resources based on availability, schedules, and equipment maintenance
- Work closely with the Maintenance team to coordinate and plan equipment servicing
- Ensure driver compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Plan and manage daily dispatch schedules
- Review and verify driver documentation
- Communicate effectively with drivers and customers to ensure smooth operations and high customer satisfaction
Job Requirements
- Previous trucking dispatch experience
- Flat deck dispatch experience (required)
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and a strong problem solver
Considered an Asset
- Border crossing knowledge
- Permitting knowledge
- AXON experience
- Heavy haul experience
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
