We are looking for a Telecom Network Specialist on contract for one of our clients in Toronto.

Client: consulting

Location: Toronto, ON

Onsite Requirement : 3 days a week

Contract duration: 6 months, renewable

Contract rate : $40/hr Incorp

Essential skills:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
  • 8 years in the telecom industry with deep core network exposure across 3G/4G/5G
  • Proven expertise in5GC (AMF, SMF, UPF)EPC components (MME, SGW, PGW, HSS, ePDG)
  • Solid understanding of 3GPP protocols, call flows, and packet core functions

Job Description:

  • Lead design and integration of packet core network elements5G Core (5GC) AMF, SMF, UPF4G EPC MME, SGW, PGW, HSS, ePDG
  • Create and maintain HLD/LLD documentation, IP flow diagrams, MOPs, test plans, ATP, and TOLs
  • Conduct integration and validation testing, ensuring compliance with 3GPP standards and robust network performance
  • Support daily operations monitoring, troubleshooting, fault resolution, KPI tracking, and escalations
  • Drive automation and lifecycle management using cloud-native and virtualization tools (Kubernetes, CNFVNF, Docker, CICD)
  • Optimize core network performance through analysis and tuning, addressing latency, throughput, and scaling issuesProvide technical leadership, guiding internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders in multi-vendor environments
  • Author and present technical documentation, including HLD, LLD, test plans, white papers, and PoVsespecially for private 5G or enterprise use cases in.
  • Collaborate with RD or development groups to validate new features or demos (e.g., ARVR, IoT) in lab environments
