As a member of a dynamic development team, the Product Verification Specialist will be actively involved in many di􀆯erent aspects of verifying Next Gen Optical Edge Transport Modules. This individual will provide detailed implementations for test coverage, automation, validation, and documentation to ensure the delivery of advanced optical transport solutions are high quality and robust. In this role, the successful candidate will report to the Manager, Product Verification (TQA). What you'll do
  • Design test plans and strategies to conduct full characterization of optical interface products
  • Execute test plans to evaluate equipment performance against design requirements
  • Document test progress, results and assist with investigations and issue resolution
  • Develop, execute, and investigate automated tests
  • Explore new methods for software verification and validation
  • Continuously contribute and improve test automation framework and team processes
  • Participate in technical design document review throughout design and verification cycle
  • Provide product and software feature training to cross-functional teams
  • Maintain testing environments
What you'll need to get the job done
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in optical transport product verification and test automation
  • Experience with Optical WDM software, hardware and end-to-end systems testing
  • Experience with testing management software for optical
  • Transponders/Muxponders including ROADM
  • Experience with optical Ethernet/OTN test sets such as EXFO, Viavi and Ixia
  • Experience with Network Management System (NMS) testing using
  • NETCONF/RESTCONF and SNMP
  • Good knowledge on NETCONF/RESTCONF XML/JSON-based syntax, schema and validation
  • Experience with Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3 protocol testing.
  • Experience with developing, executing, and maintaining automated regression tests
  • Good knowledge of software version control using Git or SVN
  • Good Knowledge of Operating Systems (Linux and Microsoft)
  • Familiarity with software defect tracking system such as JIRA or Bugzilla
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, technologies, and solutions
  • Ability to interface with various disciplines/functional groups
  • Good team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
