About Us
Magical Minds Daycare and Out of School Care (OSC) in Edmonton is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. We are currently seeking a responsible and caring individual to join our team as a Daycare Van Driver, who will also work in the classroom as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Level 1).
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate the daycare van for morning, afternoon, and school pick-ups/drop-offs.
- Ensure children's safety and well-being during transport.
- Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and maintain cleanliness.
- Support classroom activities and daily routines as an ECE Level 1.
- Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate learning activities.
- Supervise and engage children in a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.
- Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and staff.
- Adhere to daycare policies, licensing regulations, and health & safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Required:
- Alberta Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Level 1 Certification.
- Valid Class 4 Driver's License (or willingness to obtain before employment).
- Clean Driver's Abstract.
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification.
- Clear Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector.
- Preferred Assets:
- Previous childcare and/or driving experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, reliability, and a passion for working with children.
