- Employment Type: Full-time Permanent
- Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, occasional weekends and overtime.
- Compensation: $45,500-$52,500/year
- Work Location: 149 Mount Edward Rd, Suite 2, Charlottetown, PEI.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
STEAM PEI is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented
Office Administrator & Bookkeeper
to support the day-to-day administrative and financial operations of the organization. The following is an overview of the duties for each of the roles:
OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR:
- Managing general office operations, supplies, records, and correspondence
- Serving as a point of contact for staff, board members, and the public
- Scheduling meetings, prepare agendas, and taking minutes as required
- Maintaining digital and physical filing systems and access
- Assisting with program logistics, events, and reporting
- Supporting board and committee activities as needed
- Manage camp registrations and payments
- Support/complete subsidy applications
- HR Administration (onboarding/offboarding tasks, preparing and posting job ads, etc.)
- Other office duties as required
BOOKKEEPING:
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software
- Prepare and process payroll
- Prepare and process invoices, expense & subsidy claims, and deposits
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards
- Assist with budgeting, cash flow tracking, and financial reports
- Support year-end processes and liaise with external accountants/auditors
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit quarterly financial and funding requirements
THE SKILLS:
- Diploma or certificate in Office Administration, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in office administration and/or bookkeeping
- Experience working with nonprofits is an asset
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- High level of accuracy, discretion, and professionalism
- Familiarity with Google Suite, Appointy, Clockify, Jumbula, WagePoint, WordPress, and Canva
- Having a valid driver's license and reliable transportation is an asset
- A clean criminal record check
- Good communication both written and oral, including communicating to the public

STEAM PEI's mission is to inspire young Islanders to pursue learning and careers in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) fields by fostering their curiosity and confidence through engaging experiential learning opportunities. STEAM PEI strives to reach youth all across PEI, with a special focus on girls, Indigenous youth, and youth from low socio-economic backgrounds who are traditionally under-represented in STEM fields.
