Role Overview:

The Logistics Coordinator and Project Manager at Freight North Carriers is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of transportation projects. This role involves coordinating with clients, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective logistics solutions. The incumbent manages project scope, develops operational plans, and maintains communication with stakeholders to guarantee successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of logistics operations for ongoing projects.
  • Develop and implement detailed operational plans tailored to client needs and project scope.
  • Manage carrier relationships, negotiate rates, and secure capacity to meet project demands.
  • Track shipments, monitor progress, and address any issues or delays proactively.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Prepare and present project updates, operational plans, and rate proposals to clients.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize logistics processes for efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in logistics coordination and project management within transportation or freight forwarding.
  • Strong understanding of transportation operations, carrier management, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office.
