Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Communications, the incumbent is responsible to provide communications advisory services, which include: the writing/editing and production of various newsletters and publications, writing/editing internal bulletins for distribution to managers and employees, drafting communications plans and strategies for initiatives/programs/projects for our internal functional groups, writing web-based material and support for events.

In this role you will:

• Works closely with other managers and senior management on the development of communications plans and products.
• Works closely with all functional groups as communications support on company-wide programs and initiatives.
• Assists from time-to-time with other Communications duties, as directed by Management.
• Acts as communications support for national and regional campaigns
• Prepared to travel from time to time to NAV CANADA facilities in support of communications activities.
• Works on special events.

What you bring:

• Undergraduate degree in Communications, Journalism or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years' experience in Communications, with an emphasis on employee or strategic communications.
• Experience writing a wide variety of material such as articles, speeches, biographies, audio-visual material, web-based text and presentation texts.
• Experience writing and implementing communications plans and communications strategies.
• Experience in planning special events and in publication production.
• Good knowledge of communications and its use in business environment.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative suite, digital photography, and videography.

• Proven ability to quickly grasp and assimilate complex corporate and technical material.

Working Conditions:

• This position is based at Ottawa Head Office and is classified as hybrid with minimum three day onsite.
