About the Role:
OpTalent is partnering with an established industrial engineering client in Southwestern Ontario to identify a Project Engineer with strong expertise in HVAC systems, project management, and operational delivery. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving engineering excellence, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, while supporting long-term operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of HVAC projects across multiple sites.

• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to define project scope,
objectives, and deliverables.

• Develop HVAC system designs, calculations, and technical documentation in line with best
practices and regulatory standards.

• Oversee project schedules, budgets, and performance metrics, identifying and
implementing opportunities for efficiency improvements.

• Coordinate material and equipment selection, installation oversight, and commissioning
activities.

• Conduct site visits and inspections, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and
operational standards.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project staff, fostering a
collaborative and high-performance team environment.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives, introducing innovative solutions and
advancing energy-efficient HVAC practices.

Qualifications:

• P.Eng designation in Ontario (required).

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• 10+ years of experience in HVAC systems design, project management, and execution.

• Proven track record of delivering complex HVAC projects on time and within budget.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and HVAC design tools
e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).

• Ability to manage multiple projects, work collaboratively, and travel to project sites as required
